About
The Tour of Elgin is a whole day of bike activities. There is a 120km Marathon Race for the fittest of riders, in fact we dare you to try the 120 km event, which is the toughest mountain bike race in Atlantic Canada! We also have 80 km, 40 km and 20 km distance options, which will challenge you too.
The course covers all different types of surfaces, with limited pavement, lots of fast double track (30%), dirt roads (40%) and some great single track (30%). The course is well marked. There are also all-terrain support vehicles, first aid on site and neutral feed stations.
You do not need to be a seasoned racer to race! With 4 different race lengths, there is something for everyone!
Registration is done at www.raceroster.com where you may also choose your race length and category.
Post-Race Meal: Post-race meal tickets at the W.I. Hall are available upon registration for an additional $15.
From Moncton, take Highway #2 then Exit 423 to Highway #1. Take Exit # 233 at Petitcodiac. Turn left toward Elgin (rte. 905). Drive approximately 15 min (20km) to the Elgin corner. Bike race headquarters is at the Elgin Firehall/Community Centre at the Elgin corner beside the Post Office.
Camping space is available in Elgin, however limited accommodations are available (i.e. bring your own sleeping bag, etc.). Elgin is located 45 minutes from Moncton and 35 minutes from Sussex.

Schedule:
8:30am - 6pm - Bike Races
Lineup for races begins 15 minutes before start.
3pm - 6pm - Dinner (W.I. Hall)
What to bring:
Warm Clothes (preferably multiple layers)
Second set of clothes if wet weather is forecast (you can change at the mid-way point)
Camelback or multiple water bottles
Energy bars etc. (food will be provided, but only about every 20 km)
Tools (the race is self supported)
Spare tubes & pump
